Sclerotherapy for Management of Epistaxis in Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT)

Attendees can expect to learn about sclerotherapy as a part of management strategies and techniques for the effective treatment of epistaxis in HHT patients. The session will concentrate on the emerging utility of sclerotherapy in this patient population and demonstrate the preparation of sodium tetradecyl sulfate (STS) sclerosing solution, procedure setup, and technique with a hands-on model. Patient cases will illustrate preoperative evaluation and identification of potential complications. The session will also explore the use of sclerotherapy in the office setting for longitudinal management of HHT patients as a minimally invasive, well-tolerated, and high-impact treatment.
