Shelagh A. Cofer, MD, Associate Professor, Pediatric Otolaryngology, Mayo Clinic Children's Center: Dr. Cofer is a pediatric otolaryngologist with specialty interest in complex pediatric otolaryngologic conditions and/or medically complex patients with common ORL problems. Dr. Cofer has subcertification in Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology and directs the Velopharyngeal Insufficiency Clinic at Mayo Clinic Children's in Rochester, Minnesota. She received her MD and Otolaryngology Residency Certifications at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago. Dr. Cofer received fellowship training in Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology at Minneapolis Children's Hospital and the University of Minnesota. She has a passion for caring for children and adults with velopharyngeal insufficiency with minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Cofer performs research centered on placement of ear tubes in the office setting.
