Ayad Ali, M.D.-Ph.D., is an R25 surgeon-scientist otolaryngology research resident at Duke University. He earned an Honours B.Sc. in Immunology from McGill University and completed his M.D.-Ph.D. training at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, where he studied how natural killer cells coordinate innate and adaptive immune responses during infection. During his R25 research years, he will be conducting research on smell loss related to chronic rhinosinusitis and sinonasal tumor immunology.
