Dr. Michael DeMarcantonio is currently an associate professor of pediatric otolaryngology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. He was previously an active duty physician in the United States Army Medical Corps. Dr. DeMarcantonio obtained his undergraduate degree at Lehigh University followed by medical school at Penn State College of Medicine. He completed residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School with training at the Children's Hospital of King's Daughters. Dr. DeMarcantonio’s clinical and research interests include the evaluation and management of children with velopharyngeal insufficiency (VPI), sinonasal lesions and skull base tumors. During his time at Cincinnati Children’s Dr. DeMarcantonio has emphasized the collaborative practice of medicine. He is a member of the VPI team and craniofacial teams and newly established skull base surgical treatment team. His current research focuses on these areas of interest as well the cost-effective practice of pediatric otolaryngology.
