Kara D. Meister MD, FAAP, FACS is a Pediatric Otolaryngologist and Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology--Head & Neck Surgery at Stanford University. She is the surgical director of the Children's Thyroid Clinic. Dr. Meister studies tge interplay of the environment, the immune system, amd thyroid pathology through translational and pre-clinical models. She is the Co- Clinical Chief for the Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology. She completed a fellowship in Biodesign from Stanford University. She also serves of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and the Thyroid Disease in Pregnancy Writing Group of the American Thyroid Association, and the Pediatric Endocrine Surgery subcommittee of the American Head & Neck Society. Dr. Meister is the Chair of the AAO-HNS Pediatric Otolaryngology Education Committee.
