Dr. Alyssa Ovaitt is a Double Board-Certified Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and assistant professor with Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Ovaitt completed her medical education at the University of Missouri-Columbia and went on to specialize in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She then pursued fellowship training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where she gained expertise in treating facial trauma, skin cancer reconstruction, nasal surgery, and aesthetic procedures. She has special interests in medical ethics as well as helping patients restore both function and confidence after trauma, skin cancer removal, or surgery.
