Alexander Poulakis is a third year medical student at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He was born and raised in New York City, and received a BA in History at Hunter College. His current career interests include otolaryngology and sleep medicine, and is involved in research projects for both fields: one study assessing the real world effects of dupilumab on chronic sinusitis with nasal polyps, and another analyzing the quality of sleep on a neurology inpatient unit.
