Dr. José Luis Mayorga Butrón is currently Chairman at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of the National Institute of Pediatrics and also Professor in the Pediatric ENT University program of the National University of Mexico. He has a Master's and Doctorate in Sciences Degree from the Postgraduate Department at the National University Faculty of Medicine, where he is currently an associate professor in the master of sciences program. He served as Mexico representative in the Guidelines International Network/North America Group Steering Committe, based at the New York Academy of Medicine and co-author of multiple Clinical Practice Guidelines in respiratory medicine. He recently published the Clinical Practice Guidelines on Acute Otitis Media and is a founding member of the College of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery of Mexico. Dr. Mayorga has collaborated with multiple prestigious academic institutions in Mexico and other countries in the development of multiple clinical practice guidelines and academic programs on evidence-based medicine. Recently, Dr. Mayorga is part of the steering group of the Pan-American Consensus of Pediatric Chronic Rhinosinusitis.
