Alexander J. Barna, MD, MPH is an otolaryngology - head & neck surgery resident at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH. He is the previous Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery medical student research fellow from Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He has spent much of his academic career developing skills in epidemiology, community health research, qualitative research, and clinical science. He is passionate about understanding barriers patients face accessing specialty otolaryngologic care. His previous research interests include health equity, patient experience, facial nerve paralysis, facial reconstruction, mohs reconstruction, laryngology and voice function, laryngopharyngeal reflux and dysphagia, and more.
