Sepehr Oliaei is a board-certified otolaryngologist–head and neck surgeon and serves as Director of the Division of Comprehensive Otolaryngology at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). He is a faculty member in the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and maintains an active clinical practice focused on comprehensive adult and pediatric otolaryngology, salivary gland disorders, thyroid and parathyroid disease, sinonasal disease, hearing disorders, and office-based procedures.
In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Oliaei is deeply involved in medical education and serves as an educator for undergraduates, medical students, and residents. His academic interests include surgical education, quality improvement, healthcare delivery, and the application of emerging technologies to medical training.
Dr. Oliaei' research efforts focus on improving patient care through clinical outcomes research, healthcare access initiatives, and translational investigations within otolaryngology. His recent work has examined resource gaps and clinical practice patterns in sudden sensorineural hearing loss and has contributed to advances in the management of salivary gland disorders. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations at regional and national meetings.
Dr. Oliaei is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and is committed to advancing excellence in patient care, education, and research within the specialty.
