Hyung Chae Yang, MD, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Chonnam National University Medical School and Chonnam National University Hospital, Republic of Korea. He completed a research fellowship at the Sleep Disorders Research Program, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School. His research focuses on obstructive sleep apnea, upper airway physiology, drug-induced sleep endoscopy, precision medicine, and personalized treatment strategies for sleep-disordered breathing. His work integrates physiological phenotyping, sleep monitoring technologies, and artificial intelligence to improve diagnosis and treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in sleep medicine and otolaryngology and serves as an International Director of the Korean Society of Sleep Medicine.
