Dr. Elena Kennedy, MD, is a PGY-4 resident physician in the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. She obtained her medical degree (M.D.) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from Azusa Pacific University, majoring in molecular biology and honors humanities. During medical school, she received a full-tuition merit-based scholarship, completed a Path of Distinction in Research, and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor society. Her research interests include analyzing novel treatments for vocal fold paralysis, as well as outcomes and quality-of-life measures for head and neck cancer patients. She plans to be a comprehensive otolaryngologist and remain actively involved with the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS).
