Alyssa Steinbaum is a third-year medical student at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, NY. Her research interests include otolaryngology, cancer prevention, health equity, and community-based medicine, with a particular focus on improving access to preventive care for underserved populations. She has participated in projects spanning head and neck surgery, thyroid disease, and harm reduction, and is actively involved in student-run free clinic initiatives.
