Professor and doctor of medicine, doctor honoris causa of four Polish universities and honorary professor of three foreign universities, member of the Polish Academy of Sciences, European Academy of Science and Art. He is globally renowned for performing the world's first partial deafness surgery in adults and children. Author of several hundred short stories, poems, documentary and feature film scripts, musical librettos, film novels, and lyrics about patients. Initiator and organizer of the first in the world International Music Festival "Beats of Cochlea".
Author of over 5000 publications and conference presentations. Laureate of 342 recognitions, international and national decorations, including state decorations: the President of Poland, Georgia, Ukraine, King of Belgium and Pope Francis. He conducted over 215 thousand surgical procedures and over 1300 demonstration surgeries in Poland and abroad. He is the author of 152 new scientific and clinical solutions applied in medicine. Member of 22 prestigious scientific societies. He was awarded an ECCE HOMO order for the exceptional dedication of life and talents in the service to people. Initiator, organizer and director of the departmental Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing and the World Hearing Center, performing the most extensive number of hearing improving surgeries globally for the last 20 years.
