The University Medical Center Corporate Fund, Kazakhstan
My name is Kalamkas Sagandykova, and I am an otorhinolaryngologist (ENT specialist) and PhD working at the University Medical Center (UMC) in Astana, Kazakhstan. I have been practicing medicine since 2009 and have been a member of the UMC team since 2016.
I combine clinical practice with academic research, with a particular focus on chronic rhinosinusitis, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR), nasal endoscopy, olfactory disorders, and evidence-based approaches in rhinology.
My research aims to improve the understanding of the relationship between upper airway diseases and reflux-related disorders, as well as to develop and validate practical diagnostic tools that can be implemented in routine clinical practice. I am the author and co-author of numerous peer-reviewed publications in international journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, and I actively collaborate with researchers from different countries in the fields of rhinology and otolaryngology.
In both my clinical and research work, I am committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care while advancing evidence-based medicine through innovative research and international collaboration. My goal is to bridge the gap between scientific discoveries and everyday clinical practice, ultimately improving the diagnosis and treatment of patients with upper airway diseases.
