Medical Student
Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine
Faeq M. Zaman, BS, is a third‑year medical student at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine with a dedicated academic and clinical interest in otolaryngology, particularly in pediatric ENT, middle ear disease, and vascular anomalies. He has so far built a broad and steadily growing research portfolio spanning pediatric otolaryngology, vascular anomalies, interventional radiology, vascular surgery, and orthopedic surgery. Through these projects, Faeq has had the opportunity to submit manuscripts for publication, present a poster at the ASPO-HNS Annual Meeting at COSM 2026, and deliver a podium oral presentaton at the ASPO-HNS Summer Meeting.
At Stritch, he served as Co-President of the ENT Interest Group, where he worked to find and share educational resources with the student body, established opportunities for shadowing and mentorship, and helped organize events including but not limited to faculty case presentations, resident panels, and application preparation sessions.
Faeq’s long‑standing interest in pediatric ENT and vascular anomalies is shaped by mentorship from leaders in the field and by his own experience as a patient receiving coordinated multidisciplinary care. This background infoms his commitment to advancing collaborative, patient‑centered models of pediatric ENT care that integrates expertise across different fields. He plans to pursue residency training in otolaryngology, with long‑term goals of contributing to academic pediatric ENT, improving research and educational infrastructure, and supporting multidisciplinary vascular anomalies care around the nation.
