My name is Diego Regalado Ceballos, and I am a medical intern and researcher affiliated with the School of Medicine and University Hospital “Dr. José Eleuterio González,” Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL), Monterrey, Mexico; the Centro de Análisis Avanzado de Información Científica 360 (CAAI-360); and KER Unit Mexico, an affiliate of the KER Unit at Mayo Clinic.
I have completed the academic requirements of the UANL medical curriculum; however, I am currently completing the mandatory full-time social service year dedicated exclusively to research, which is required before I can obtain my medical degree and professional licensure.
I am a graduate of the BP Invest Graduate Research Scholar Program, a selective program focused entirely on research training, where I developed skills in evidence synthesis, critical appraisal, scientific writing, and collaborative research. In 2024, I had the opportunity to participate in a six-month academic exchange program at the University of Cologne (Universität zu Köln), Germany, an experience that broadened my international perspective and strengthened my interest in global research collaboration.
As a member of several multidisciplinary research groups, including the Ear, Nose and Throat Research and Innovation Hub (ENTRIH) and CAAI-360, I have contributed to the design, conduct, analysis, and dissemination of research projects across multiple medical specialties. I have authored and coauthored several peer-reviewed publications, primarily systematic reviews and meta-analyses, with the goal of generating rigorous, comprehensive, and clinically relevant evidence for researchers and healthcare professionals. My academic interests include evidence-based medicine, clinical epidemiology, biostatistics, and the methodology of systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
