Takemichi Tanaka, MD, is a Clinical Fellow in the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Ehime University Hospital and a doctoral student at Ehime University Graduate School of Medicine, Japan. His research focuses on peripheral facial paralysis, including neuroprotection, nerve regeneration, and prevention of facial muscle atrophy. He is currently investigating novel therapeutic strategies using intratympanic delivery of growth factors in animal models of severe facial paralysis.
