Throughout the practice of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, gaps in evidence leave clinicians without definitive answers to important questions. But as colleagues share their experiences and air their disagreements, those spaces of uncertainty can start to fill with valuable insights—and more than a few laughs.

This exchange of ideas will play out on stage during the Pardon the OTO-ruption session. Expert panelists will challenge each other on rapid-fire topics during a game show format that educates as much as it entertains.

The moderator will award points to the panelists for their answers, as well as their sass. The audience has the opportunity to vote up or vote down those points. A referee will clarify the actual evidence behind the panelists’ responses at the end.

The real winners will be attendees who gain knowledge from some of the brightest minds in the specialty.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe current advances in the evaluation and management of voice, airway, and swallowing disorders, including novel diagnostic and therapeutic techniques.
  • Assess the role of multidisciplinary collaboration and emerging technologies in optimizing outcomes for patients with complex laryngologic and bronchoesophagologic conditions.
  • Apply evidence-based strategies to improve surgical decision-making and patient care in disorders of the larynx, trachea, and esophagus.
