This panel discussion will explain the diversity of presentations surrounding laryngeal dysfunction after thyroid and parathyroid surgery. It will focus on the role of early recognition, laryngeal examination and treatment for patients with concern based upon intraoperative findings and/or symptoms. Laryngeal dysfunction after thyroid and parathyroid surgery may present as voice, swallow, cough, globus and everything in between. This session will host a few cases that present representative and nuanced examples of laryngeal dysfunction after surgery and how examination and treatment may be initiated

• Demonstrate the next steps in assessment of laryngeal dysfunction and what types of diagnostics are required to do so
