Laryngeal reinnervation with an ansa cervicalis to recurrent laryngeal nerve anastomosis is a practical option in the treatment of unilateral laryngeal paralysis. This lecture course will offer how this technique can be incorporated into the armamentarium of treatment options one may offer to patients with unilateral vocal fold paralysis.

Learning Objectives:

Describe laryngeal reinnervation with the ansa cervicalis to recurrent laryngeal nerve for unilateral vocal fold paralysis.
Demonstrate how this technique can be incorporated into the treatment options offered for unilateral vocal fold paralysis.
Recognize the indications, contraindications, surgical technique, and treatment results of laryngeal reinnervation.
