This session focuses on practical strategies to improve efficiency within the Epic electronic health record. Participants will learn methods to extract relevant clinical and operational data more efficiently, reducing time spent navigating the chart. The session will demonstrate streamlined documentation using customizable templates and Epic SmartTools, including SmartPhrases and SmartLists, with an emphasis on reducing note burden while preserving clinical clarity. Finally, efficiency lessons will be reviewed for ambient scribe workflows and use of Dragon Medical One, including best practices for voice dictation, accuracy, and integration into daily clinical documentation.
