This case-based panel will provide practical tips, technical pearls, and decision-making strategies for managing obstructive salivary gland disease using office-based, endoscopic, and open techniques. Through real-world cases, faculty will discuss patient selection, procedural planning, troubleshooting stones and strictures, complication avoidance, and knowing when to escalate or pivot to alternative approaches. Emphasis will be placed on gland preservation, workflow integration, and patient-centered outcomes. Attendees can expect actionable guidance that can be immediately applied across a range of practice settings.

Learning Objectives:

  • Apply practical technical pearls in office-based, endoscopic, and open management of obstructive salivary gland disease, including troubleshooting difficult stones and strictures.
  • Improve procedural decision-making through case-based recognition of when to escalate, combine techniques, or abandon sialendoscopy in favor of alternative strategies.
  • Incorporate gland-preserving, patient-centered approaches—including PROMs and symptom-based outcomes—into everyday salivary obstruction management.
