The panel will provide a comprehensive seminar on one of the educational gap topics. Attendees can expect to walk away from this panel with an understanding and technical expertise of different rhinitis technologies and proper and safe use of them. A review of the literature to understand prognosis and post treatment expectations will be presented. From a sinus standpoint attendees will be exposed through case presentations and videos to the judgement and techniques needed for proper patient selection and performance of safe and efficient office based sinus surgery. As part of the presentation, office setup, staff training, and anesthetic protocols will be reviewed. The panel consists of academic and private practice physicians that will give the audience a diverse perspective on this topic.

Learning Objectives:

Analyze cases with chronic rhinitis and sinusitis that are amenable and not amenable to office based sinus surgery. Participants will understand where office based rhinologic surgery would be an appropriate therapeutic option and how to perform the procedure safely.
Understand the necessary equipment, instrumentation, local anesthetics, and office set up to perform safe and effective office sinus surgery, Participants will be given tables and images of instrumentation and set up that will facilitate participants implementing what they will learn.
Understand the utilization of instrumentation and disposables that allow cost effective delivery of office sinus and rhinitis surgery. Participants will understand the appropriate selection of instrumentation and disposables to deliver a cost effective sinus surgery in an office setting.
