This course will educate otolaryngologists in the safe and effective performance of office vocal fold injection for conditions of glottic insufficiency, including vocal fold paralysis and paresis, atrophy and scar. Factors favoring office injection in the awake patient or operating room injection under general anesthesia are contrasted. Selection of patients and materials is examined in detail. Multiple techniques will be discussed, including advantages and disadvantages, with video examples explained. Strategies for avoiding complications are also presented.
