Michelle Ferdinand Liu, MD, MPH, FAAOA, is the Clinical Director for Otolaryngic Allergy at Otolaryngology Associates, P.C. in Northern Virginia. She is an alumna of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.  She completed her Otolaryngology training at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia and served as a physician in the military for more than 20 years before her retirement as a Captain in the United States Navy Medical Corps.

Dr. Liu has extensive experience as a hospital executive leader in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety and has launched and grown several otolaryngic allergy practices on the east coast. She is faculty for both the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy and the Institute for Healthcare Excellence. For the past ten years she has enjoyed coaching healthcare providers, ancillary staff, and administrators in relationship-centered communication and leadership. She looks forward to bringing her passion for quality, patient-centered care and workforce resilience to the AAO-HNS through interactive sessions this year.
