Mary Jue Xu, MD MAS is a head and neck oncology and microvascular surgeon at the University of California San Francisco and the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. Her research focuses on applying implementation science methodologies to improving head and neck cancer care in resource-constrained health systems both domestically and internationally. She continues research with collaborators in Tanzania and Rwanda. She is a co-founder of the the Global Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Initiative, an international research collaboration, and has worked on projects including a global otolaryngology-head and neck surgery workforce assessment.
