Sarah M. Russel, MD, MPH, is a PGY-6 resident physician and NIH T32 postdoctoral research fellow at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. During her dedicated research time, she earned her Master of Public Health while completing her postdoctoral research in computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Her interests lie in using CFD to assess the efficacy of surgical techniques as well as public health, health equity, and LGBTQIA+ population health within otolaryngology. Within the Academy, she has served on the Governing Council for the Section for Residents and Fellows for the last three years and is currently the Chair-Elect of the SRF, and she also serves on the Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
