Dr. Erik Waldman serves as Chief of the Section of Pediatric Otolaryngology at Yale New Haven Children's Hospital. He is certified in Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology and a diplomat of the American Board of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Waldman attended UCLA for medical school and then completed his residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He took a gap year as a medical volunteer and performed surgeries on patients with very limited access to health care in Nepal, Vietnam and Cambodia. He then completed a fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Children’s Hospital Boston. He came to Yale in late 2016 and has built a solid, collegial, and friendly team around him which has seen consistent and steady growth since that time. Dr. Waldman enjoys all things pediatric ENT with an emphasis on hearing loss and sleep disordered breathing in children. In his spare time he enjoys soccer, exercising, and spending quality time with his family at the beach.
