Alexandra F. Corbin, BS, is a fourth-year medical student at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo, where she will graduate in May 2027. At Jacobs, she has been inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and recognized with Research Honors. She previously earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering from Cornell University’s College of Engineering, where she graduated magna cum laude. Since the start of medical school, Alexandra has been actively involved in clinical otolaryngology research under the mentorship of Dr. Michele M. Carr, with work focused on pediatric otolaryngology, surgical outcomes, and medical education. She has authored more than 15 peer-reviewed publications and has presented her work nationally through the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, the Triological Society, and other academic venues. She also contributes to academic publishing and medical education as an Assistant Editor for the Journal of Student-Run Clinics and Editor-in-Chief of The Auricle, a national online otolaryngology newsletter. Alexandra plans to apply for otolaryngology residency in the 2026–2027 match cycle and hopes to integrate her engineering background, research experience, and dedication to education in her future career as an academic otolaryngologist.
