Elizabeth Cottrill, MD is Professor of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center specalizing in thyroid and parathyroid surgery. She serves her department as Residency Program Director and is the Surgical Director of the Jefferson Thyroid and Parathyroid Center. She completed her undergraduate studies in Philosophy and Biology at Vanderbilt University before attending the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where she completed her MD degree. She completed her residency at the University of Pennsylvania in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and went on to compelte a fellowship in Head and Neck Endocrine and Oncologic Surgery at Penn State. Her research focuses on thyroid cancer biology, diagnosis, and clinical outcomes as well as patient education. Dr. Cottrill is an active memeber of the AAO-HNS, ATA, AHNS, ACS, and NASIT.
