Wyatt Wofford, BS is an MD/PhD candidate in the Medical Scientist Training Program at the Medical University of South Carolina, with an expected graduation in 2027. He graduated magna cum laude from the College of Charleston in 2019 with a degree in Biochemistry. He successfully defended his PhD in March 2025, with research focused on cancer biology and immunotherapy resistance—specifically investigating how lipid metabolism shapes tumor–immune interactions. He has presented his clinical and translational research at national and international conferences, served on both the MSTP and College of Medicine admissions committees, and was the lead teaching assistant for gross anatomy for the PA and CRNA programs. He is pursuing a career as an academic otolaryngologist and plans to apply for residency in the 2026 match cycle.
