Ryan Dewan, BS is a second year medical student at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences with a Bachelors Degree in Biological Sciences and a Minor in Public Health from the University at Buffalo. His research focuses on pediatric otolaryngology, specifically investigating the role of Red Cell Distribution Width as a potential biomarker for obstructive sleep apnea and postoperative bleeding in children undergoing tonsillectomy. In addition to his primary presentation, Ryan is a co-author on other presentations at this meeting including research on Teprotumumab-associated hearing loss, the effects of age and otitis media in hearing loss patterns in patients with Mucopolysaccharidosis, and investigating the necessity of postoperative transfer to the PICU after Supraglottoplasty.
