Dr. Andre J. Burnham is a resident physician in the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a minor in Art from Hamilton College, graduating summa cum laude, before earning his Doctor of Medicine from Emory University. His clinical and academic interests span facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, head and neck oncology, skull base surgery, microvascular free tissue transfer, and wound healing. His research focuses on improving functional and quality-of-life outcomes following head and neck reconstruction, while also exploring novel regenerative and immunomodulatory approaches for tissue repair and reconstruction.
Dr. Burnham has authored more than twenty peer-reviewed publications and numerous national presentations in the fields of otolaryngology, immunology, and regenerative medicine. He is also a co-inventor on a patent related to cellular and probiotic graft compositions for tissue regeneration. Prior to entering medicine, Dr. Burnham worked professionally in the music industry as a recording artist, songwriter, and producer, touring internationally and collaborating with major recording artists.
