Marika D. Russell, MD, FACS is Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Harvard Medical School/Mass Eye and Ear. She earned her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed her residency in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She completed fellowship in thyroid/parathyroid surgery at Mass Eye and Ear/Harvard Medical school. Her clinical interests include application of ultrasound to the diagnosis and management of thyroid and parathyroid conditions, radiofrequency ablation of thyroid nodules and treatment of advanced thyroid cancer. Dr. Russell is a member of the International Thyroid Oncology Group, the Vice-chair of the American Head and Neck Society – Endocrine Section, and an Associate Board Member of the World Congress on Thyroid Cancer. She serves as the Director of Education in the Thyroid and Parathyroid Endocrine Surgery Division at Mass Eye and Ear.
