Erivelto Volpi, MD, PhD. Head and Neck Surgery, Oswaldo Cruz German Hospital - Brazil
Dr. Erivelto is a surgeon specializing in thyroid and parathyroid diseases, with a focus on thyroid cancer and minimally invasive therapies. Following his training in Seoul, he became one of Brazil's pioneers of thermal treatments for thyroid nodules. Since 2018, he has successfully treated over 700 patients with benign and malignant thyroid nodules, parathyroid adenomas, and cervical metastases. Additionally, he provides training in thermal ablation and has imparted his knowledge to over 100 doctors from Brazil and other countries. Currently, he is an active member of several essential societies' committees and services, including the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American Head and Neck Society, the American Thyroid Association, the North American Society of Interventional Thyroidology, and the Latin American Thyroid Society. Additionally, he serves as an Associate Editor of the Frontiers in Endocrinology Journal and is a peer reviewer for numerous scientific publications.
