Chau Phung is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Pennsylvania from Houston, Texas, originally from Vietnam. She earned her Bachelor of Science and Arts in Neuroscience with a minor in Social Inequality, Health, and Policy from the University of Texas at Austin in 2021. She serves as Co-Vice President of the ENT Interest Group and conducts research in pediatric and sleep surgery within otolaryngology. She also mentors junior students as a near-peer Surgery Clerkship mentor. Chau is applying into Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery this year.
