Dr. Luis Fernando Macias-Valle works in Mexico City as staff Rhinologist/Skull Base Surgeon for Hospital Español. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery for LaSalle University. He underwent 2 years of postgraduate fellowship training in rhinology and endoscopic skull base surgery, first in the University of British Columbia and subsequently in the University of Adelaide Australia. He is a fellow of the American Rhinologic Society and Member of the North American Skull Base Society.
His research interests are novel treatments for inflammatory sinonasal pathology, models for training in endoscopic sinus surgery and integration of multidisciplinary skull base teams. Currently on the Editorial Board of several journals in the field such as Annals of Otology, Laryngology and Rhinology, and American Journal of Allergy and Rhinology, Journal of Rhinology and Mexican Annals of Otolaryngology.
