Krishna G. Patel, M.D., Ph.D. is a Professor within the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina. She is the Director of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and serves as Co-Director for the nationally-accredited MUSC Craniofacial Cleft Lip and Palate Team. She is the Program Director of the AAFPRS fellowship at MUSC. Globally, Dr. Patel actively participates in volunteer medical outreach to provide care to the medically underserved. She travels annually to both Ecuador and El Salvador where she operates on children with cleft lip/palate.
