Resident Physician
University of Minnesota Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery
Claire is a PGY-3 Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery resident at the University of Minnesota and graduate of Duke University School of Medicine who intends to become a complex pediatric otolaryngologist. She is passionate about patient-centered care, interdisciplinary teamwork, and communication in medicine, and enjoys the perspective that interweaving medicine and the humanities provides. In research efforts she applies qualitative and outcomes-based research to amplify patients' voices, maintain a focus on our shared humanity, and advocate for needed supports, such as in her current work aiming to improve pediatric access to hearing healthcare by meeting kids where they are – in schools. Outside of work she enjoys traveling, reading, playing water polo, chess, and spending time at the lake or beach with friends and family.
