Matthew J. Schmitz is a fourth-year medical student at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. He is presenting a scientific poster on hospitalization trends for sinusitis in California from 2015 to 2024. The project is mentored by Dr. Chengetai Mahomva, a rhinologist at Avera in Sioux Falls. Matthew is applying to otolaryngology residency and is originally from Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
