Medical Student
Rutgers New Jersey Medical School
Erin Go is a second-year medical student at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. She earned a bachelor’s in Cell Biology and Neuroscience from Rutgers University-New Brunswick in 2024, before receiving a Fulbright research grant to spend nine months in Metro Manila, Philippines studying HPV vaccine awareness, acceptability, and delivery preferences among out-of-school youth.
Her clinical and research interests include global health implementation strategies for HPV-related cancer prevention and treatment, with a particular focus on head and neck oncology and patient outcomes following otolaryngologic surgery. Committed to advancing health equity, Erin also serves as Director of the Human Rights Initiative Asylum Clinic at Rutgers NJMS, a student-run clinic that provides free forensic medical evaluations for asylum seekers. Through this work, she has researched and documented the surgical sequelae of torture, functional impairment, and unmet reconstructive and operative needs among survivors. Erin aspires to a career in otolaryngology, where she hopes to integrate head and neck surgery and global health research to expand equitable access to high-quality surgical care and improve cancer prevention, treatment, and survivorship for underserved populations worldwide.
