Medical Student
Zucker School of Medicine
Ivie Odia, BS, is a fourth-year medical student at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. She is applying to otolaryngology and is interested in healthcare disparities research, specifically who reaches specialty care, who benefits from the treatments we provide, and how outcomes vary across institutions. Her current work examines how socioeconomic status, geography, and race affect access to tertiary Vestibular Schwannoma treatment. She earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. She is drawn to ENT because it restores the things we often take for granted, like hearing, speaking, breathing, and swallowing, giving patients not just their health back, but also their quality of life.
