Nicholas Khuu
Nicholas Khuu, B.S., is an MD/PhD Trainee in the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. His academic and research interests include translational medicine, biomedical research, and understanding mechanisms of human disease. Nick specifically studies the mechanisms of kidney disease and and sensorineural hearing loss in Alport Syndrome, with interest in understanding how dysregulation in lipid metabolism contributes to kidney and cochlear injury. Through his physician-scientist training, he is focused on integrating clinical insight with laboratory investigation to improve patient care and advance scientific discovery.
