Dr. Meryem Miri, M.D., is a third-year PhD candidate at the University of Mons and an aspiring otolaryngologist. She obtained her medical degree from the Catholic University of Louvain. She received a research grant from the ARC Foundation at the University of Mons.
Her doctoral research focuses on office-based laryngeal procedures, including in-office laser surgery for benign vocal fold lesions and vocal fold medialization techniques. Her work also explores dysarthria and voice disorders in patients with neurological diseases, including Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, Huntington’s disease, stroke, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
