Amanda Hernandez, BA, is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Michigan applying into Otolaryngology. A native of New Jersey, her research examines disparities in surgical resource distribution and outcomes, alongside the ethics of trust and decision-making in the surgeon-patient relationship.
Outside the hospital, Amanda directs and choreographs Biorhythms, Michigan's school-wide dance showcase, and advises the Cornell University Dance Team, which she once coached, supporting its historic run as the first Ivy League program to reach Division I nationals finals.
