Medical Student
University of Minnesota Medical School
Amelia Podolny is a third year medical student at the University of Minnesota. As a cellist who grew up in a family of professional musicians, Amelia's interest in otolaryngology was sparked by her passion for music. This initial interest has only grown as she has dove deeper into the world of otolaryngology, and she is thrilled to be conducting airway research at the Lions Voice Institute at the University of Minnesota. Amelia's research interests include dysphagia, subglottic stenosis, and vocal fold disorders. Amelia also currently serves as a member of the LCME Independent Analysis Committee at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Outside of medicine, Amelia can be found going on long runs with friends, trying new recipes, and playing the cello in the University of Minnesota Philharmonic Orchestra.
