Medical Student
University of Kansas Medical Center
Zexin Li, MA, CCC-SLP, is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and a research fellow in the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, where she works under the mentorship of Dr. Andrés Bur. Prior to medical school, she practiced as a speech-language pathologist, including roles in clinical leadership and fellowship supervision.
Her research focuses on radiotranscriptomics in head and neck cancer, integrating delta radiomic features with spatial transcriptomic profiling to identify imaging correlates of underlying tumor biology. Her current work examines the relationship between longitudinal imaging change and epithelial and stromal transcriptional programs, with implications for noninvasive biomarker development and treatment response prediction.
