Breno Lima de Almeida, MD, is an Otorhinolaryngologist and PhD candidate in Medicine (Otorhinolaryngology) at Escola Paulista de Medicina/UNIFESP, where he also completed his residency training. He earned his medical degree from the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA). He serves as graduate student representative in the Otorhinolaryngology Graduate Program at Escola Paulista de Medicina/UNIFESP. He previously held a scientific initiation scholarship at the Centro de Pesquisas Gonçalo Muniz da Fiocruz - BA, in the field of Arbovirology, where he served as data manager for the international consortium ZIKAction. He completed clinical rotations at the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, USA) and Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami (Miami, USA). He has passed both Step 1 and Step 2CK of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE).
