Isaac Elijah is a fourth-year medical student at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University who is pursuing a career in otolaryngology. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Biotechnology with Honors, and he is currently an MD candidate completing a Research Distinction Track.
His academic interests center on rhinology, olfaction, vestibular disorders, and clinical outcomes research. Through collaborations with Stanford University, Mayo Clinic, and FAU’s Hearing Tinnitus Balance Research Laboratory, Mr. Elijah has contributed to projects examining olfactory dysfunction, chronic rhinosinusitis, postoperative sinonasal outcomes, vestibular dysfunction, pediatric otolaryngology, and national trends in ENT care. His work has led to peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national meetings, including the Triological Society, American Rhinologic Society, American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, and American Academy of Audiology.
In addition to research, Mr. Elijah has been involved in medical student leadership, clinical education, and service. He hopes to build a career that combines surgical care, scholarship, and mentorship in otolaryngology.
